Dayle has many years of experience working within the construction industry. She has undertaken a number of roles including Contracts Manager, Building Surveyor, Project Manager and Building Control Surveyor. This range of roles has enabled Dayle to build up a wealth of experience that can be transferred to all scenarios of the construction industry.
Her Building Control background gives Dayle a thorough understanding of the legislative issues and apply this to problem solving. Dayle is also a qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner which allows her to apply the PRINCE2 methodology to all projects undertaken, ensuring a thorough and consistent approach to all projects she is involved in.
Dayle obtained a Distinction for her MSc in Building Conservation. This course has allowed her to develop her interest in Heritage Buildings and improve in areas such as Legislation and Material analysis. One area of this course that Dayle found particularly enjoyable was her study into European practices, which included visits and studies of Paris, France, Berlin, Germany and Florence, Italy. Her studies concluded with a dissertation into the application of the English Heritage Enabling Development and the Legislation surrounding this principle.
Dayle is also a Chartered Building Surveyor and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. As part of this membership Dayle undertakes the appropriate Life Long Learning to ensure a continued understanding of the continuous changes encountered within the construction industry. She is frequently found attending CPD and LLL events to broaden her knowledge and keep up to date with changes to the construction industry. Dayle is currently Chairman of RICS matrics Suffolk and with the support of the committee members regularly attends networking and careers events to promote the RICS and the role of the surveyor.
She has also practised as a Lecturer in construction, teaching in areas such as Heritage Buildings, Contract Management, Project Programming, Construction Design, AutoCAD and Maths and Science for Construction. Dayle enjoys the challenges and diverse range of students that she encounters through this area of work.
Dayle has experience of working for both the contractor and employed directly by the client, working in roles such as a Project Manager for school projects, Project Manager for Registered Social Landlords and Sheltered Housing Accommodation to Lead Designer and Project Manager for the National Trust, it is this experience that brings a balanced and methodical approach to solving problems and achieving the client’s goals.
