Over the summer break we were busy working hard to deliver this new reception and entrance for Thurston Community College.
Working with Seamans Building we were engaged in July to provide Architectural Design services for a new reception area and student entrance as part of the school wide refurbishment works.
The challenge was to design a space that could be delivered by Seamans Building and handed over ready for the start of the new academic year in September 2014.
The project included new signage to the entrance, a vibrant and colourful reception, a new student entrance and alterations to the staff offices. Thanks to the co-ordination of Seamans Building and their team the project was successfully completed within the tight time frame. A three month turn around from concept to completion.
The use of coloured vinyls and signage from D-signs, makes the new entrance an inviting and inspiring part of the school.
This is the start of a ‘new era’ for the school and the full extent of the schools project has been covered by the Bury Free Press.
